Zendaya went viral on the red carpet at the Paris premiere of her new film, “Dune”.
The Emmy-winning actress was dazzled in a dark purple dress from the Spring 2022 collection by Alaïa, the first line from the house of designer Pieter Mulier. Her outfit featured an extra-cropped long-sleeved top, as well as an angled bodice hem. Her fitted skirt ended in a train of dark brown and black feathers. Both pieces of the set featured perforated details, reminiscent of Alaïa’s iconic geometric lace. Designed by Law Roach, her outfit was completed with a gold ring and gold hoops.

The dynamic look, while covered by the star’s loose skirt, also included Jimmy Choo shoes. The set is the latest matching set to hit the red carpet this week; Subsequently, as revealed on Instagram, Zendaya also wore a two-piece dress with crystal details by David Koma. Earlier in the weekend, Anya Taylor-Joy also wore a matching outfit – a flowy floral Rodarte dress and a light jacket – to the Venice Film Festival.

The âDuneâ press tour that started last week has already resulted in a range of daring outfits from Zendaya and Roach – as you might expect. Since the film’s debut in Venice, Zendaya has been seen on and off the red carpet in landmark ensembles from Valentino Haute Couture, Balmain and Dion Lee. Each look was paired with a pair of neutral point-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin.
Matching sets have become the biggest style hack of 2021. The style trick, which pairs clothes, shoes and accessories in the same color or print, creates an instantly clean outfit. The trend has been a verifiable hit with stars like Kim Kardashian, Eva Longoria and Hailey Baldwin.

Coordinating shoes are one of the Zendaya signatures that Roach has designed over the past few years. Many of her outfits from Armani, Carolina Herrera, Tom Ford and other big brands match her shoes. These styles often include strappy sandals, over the knee boots and pointed toe pumps from high end brands like Jimmy Choo, Roger Vivier, Casadei and more.
Zendaya’s role in the fashion world goes beyond just wearing luxury designers. The “Greatest Showman” actress has already collaborated with Tommy Hilfiger on a Tommy x Zendaya collection for the fall 19 season, and launched her line of affordable Daya by Zendaya shoes in 2016. She is currently brand ambassador for Bulgari, Lancôme and Covergirl Cosmetics, as and the star of Valentino’s Fall / Winter 21 campaign. Outside of design and modeling, Zendaya has also become a staple during fashion month, attending runway shows for brands like Michael Kors, Vera Wang, Louis Vuitton, Rebecca Minkoff and more.
