With the arrival of a new Frasers department store in Derby, a peek inside the UK’s first branch gives shoppers in the city an idea of ââwhat to expect.
Last month it was announced that Derbion’s largest unit, empty since Debenhams last closed in early May, will open as Frasers next year.
The store will have 127,000 square feet of retail space over three floors – enough floor space for more than 40 tennis courts.
Inside, there will be a beauty salon and dedicated spaces for storing men’s, women’s and children’s fashion from hundreds of brands, as well as a Sports Direct store operating on one of the three floors.
This is part of an agreement signed by Frasers Group, headquartered in Shirebrook, Derbyshire, which will also see luxury retailer Flannels open in the old Topshop unit in the city’s shopping center by the end of this year. .
The Frasers store in Derby is set to become the first to open in the East Midlands after the UK’s first Frasers store opened in Wolverhampton in April.
A few months before the opening of the Derby, Birmingham live looking inside its outlet in Wolverhampton gives shoppers a taste of what to expect.
The 34,000 square foot downtown store is based in the old multi-story Debenhams building in the Mander Center.
The store offers housewares in an interactive area of ââthe Frasers House store and a new modern brasserie-style restaurant on the second floor.
The adjoining Flannels and Sports Direct stores, with separate entrances, are also connected to the department store.
The store offers more than 120 beauty brands including Christian Dior, Clarins, NARS and MAC as well as new arrivals such as Natasha Denona and Uoma.
The clothing lines include high-end names such as COACH, Mario Valentino, DKNY and Michael Kors.
Menswear is based on the first floor with brands such as CP Company, Barbour, The North Face, Polo Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.
