After several seasons of digital-only or hybrid presentation models due to the pandemic, New York Fashion Week has come back strong with a packed schedule of shows and in-person events. From September 9-14, Fashion Week brought together fashion enthusiasts from around the world, all geared towards Spring 2023. On the footwear front, onlookers continued to favor comfortable options with sky-high heels, with leather loafers, Birkenstocks and open-toe flip-flops making frequent appearances on the streets of New York. Even so, low heels have remained a staple for those looking to strike a balance between fashion and function.
Favorite outerwear was mostly boxy blazers in bold hues and deconstructed denim jackets. And some of the best handbag brands spotted by style stars? Coach, Fendi and Telfar, to name a few.
