Southeastern Grocers Receives Honors for Private Label Dairy Products

Southeastern Grocers, parent company of Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie, continues to receive accolades for its private label products. After winning 41 medals in the 2021 USA Wine Ratings competition for its house brand wines, another product category was distinguished. Southeastern Grocers won 13 awards for its dairy collection at this year’s World Dairy Show Championship.

“We are honored that the World Dairy Expo has recognized our commitment to providing exceptional products to our customers with 13 awards in the Ice Cream, Yogurt and Cheese categories,” said Gayle Sheilds, Vice President of Pharmacy and Private Label for Southeastern Grocers. “We take great pride in our private label products and work hard to develop dynamic, affordable and high quality products that our customers can trust and love. “

Southeastern Grocers’ SE Grocers product line received honors for five varieties of yogurt, two cream cheese selections and two cheese varieties, while the grocer’s Prestige and Naturally Better product lines won four awards of frozen yogurt and ice cream.

Southeastern Grocers was recently awarded by Store Brands for twenty-five of its private label products as part of Store Brands Editors’ Picks for 2021, which recognizes the introduction of innovative private label products.

Private label products won the top three prizes in several categories, winning five first place prizes, six second place prizes and two third place prizes. Products that won first place include Prestige Black Cherry Frozen Yogurt (Category: Frozen Yogurt), SE Grocers Natural Sliced ​​Havarti Cheese (Category: Cheese – Brick, Muenster, Havarti), SE Grocers Nonfat Greek Yogurt Blueberry (Category: Flavored Greek Yogurt – Fat Free, All Flavors), SE Grocers Whole Milk Yogurt Vanilla (Category: Flavored Greek Yogurt – 1%, all flavors) and SE Grocers Light Blueberry Fat Free Yogurt (Category: Blueberry Yogurt).

The 2021 awards mark the sixth year that Southeastern Grocers has been recognized by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, which sponsors the World Dairy Expo Championship, where producers come together to compete and network.
