Senior couple create fashionable outfits from discarded clothes

If you happen to forget your clothes at Wansho Laundry in Taiwan, rest assured that they will be put to good use. For the past two years, laundromat owners Chang Wan-ji and Hsu Sho-er have been curating stylish ensembles and sharing their outfits on Instagram (with the help of their grandson) using items left behind in their shop. By layering chunky sweaters and oversized button-up shirts, and pairing them with pants and skirts, they offer an eclectic range of styles.

With each new photo shoot, Chang and Hsu, who are both over 80, prove that it’s never too late to become fashion icons. Their popular Instagram account has over 500,000 followers and it’s easy to see why. Not only does the elderly couple skillfully match discarded clothes with the right counterpart, but they also model their finished outfits with enviable ease. Whether it’s coordinating blazers and pinstripe pants or rocking all neutral colors, they confidently demonstrate how clothing can be both empowering and fun.

Most of these photoshoots take place at Wansho Laundry itself, providing insight into where they find their items. For the most part, Chang and Hsu smile happily at the camera, clearly enjoying their creative outlet. Their happiness makes the ensembles even more rewarding to look at, inspiring fashion lovers everywhere to find beauty in unexpected places.
