Cult American clothing brand Rowing Blazers, known for its irreverent approach to preppy clothing, has opened its first UK store in Seven Dials, London.
Located at 16 Earlham Street, the pop-up spans 872 square feet and features a selection of products from its Fall / Winter 2021 collection, including rugby shirts, knits, jackets and accessories, as well as its rowing blazers of the same name.
The store also carries a selection of humorous and nostalgic sweaters from the recently relaunched ’80s knitwear brand, Gyles and George.
Commenting on the opening, Jack Carlson, founder of Rowing Blazers, said in a statement, âSeven Dials is such a vibrant neighborhood and being part of so many other like-minded brands is great for our first physical retail store based. UK. We have been very selective in finding the perfect location and Seven Dials’ mix of renowned and premium independent brands, along with a focus on community, makes this the perfect destination to launch.
âRowing Blazers is built on the idea of ââcommunity, and we serve as a platform for the causes and movements we believe in, so we’re excited to be working with an owner who wholeheartedly supports our philosophy. “
Samantha Bain-Mollison, Director of Retail Sales at Shaftesbury, added: âWe are delighted to welcome Rowing Blazers to Seven Dials for their first UK store opening. This international brand joining the destination does honor to the authentic and eclectic style found in Seven Dials and will add to our already diverse offering as Christmas approaches.
âIn addition to developing the commercial appeal of the area, Rowing Blazers has been strategically positioned to reinforce the existing character of Earlham Street as a hotbed of contemporary design, fashion and lifestyle.
Rowing Blazers joins independent UK knitwear brand Warm and Wonderful, which also opened its first pop-up at 55 Monmouth Street in Seven Dials.
