Nicola Formichetti is now Claire’s artistic director in residence
In a move that we can say we definitely did not see coming, Nicola Formichetti is stepping into the role of creative director in residence at Claire’s. The legendary stylist, artistic director and fashion collaborator will inject his innate sense of cool into the teenage favorite brand and multiple projects already underway. First things first: C.Studio Series is a new content franchise that will see five videos rolling out from November 14 through the end of the year featuring fashion industry experts sharing tips and trends. Claire’s will also be partnering with V Magazine for its first-ever issue, created specifically for its young audience, featuring editorials from Jaden Smith, Maddie Ziegler, Dixie D’Amelio, and more. And, Claire’s will open a Parisian boutique with a futuristic spirit, conceptualized by Formichetti. The mall brand of your youth never could!
Donna Karan partners with Veteran Services USA
Ahead of Veterans Day, Donna Karan unveiled her partnership with Veteran Services USA. The designer and her stylists are working on a capsule created from repurposed vintage military clothing, which will be auctioned on November 11 to raise funds for the non-profit organization’s program offering mental health services and counseling on PTSD. Cheri Kaufman, founder of Kaufman Astoria Studios and president and partner of Veteran Services USA worked directly with Karan on the initiative, which will see up to ten outfits in the first collection. Moose Knuckles teams up with Eckhaus Latta again
Canadian luxury outerwear brand Moose Knuckles has released its second capsule collection featuring Mike Eckhaus and Eckhaus Latta by Zoe Latta. For fall winter, the capsule collection includes 12 pieces merging the identity of the two brands and rendered in a refined and neutral palette. Standout pieces include the Shearling Trimmed Icon Jacket and Bunny Hoodie, Puffer Jacket and Jacket and Puffer Parka, and the Lightweight Quilted Jacket and Matching Trousers. The accompanying Moose Knuckles x Eckhaus Latta Fall/Winter 2022 campaign was photographed by Mary Manning and styled by Matt Holmes, with art direction by Eric Wrenn. The collection is available from November 10, with prices ranging from $650 to $1,595.
Emily DiDonato Announces Pregnancy…Again!
ICYMI: Daily The fave Emily DiDonato is expecting her second child. The model jokingly posted to her Instagram Stories today to confirm. “Everyone seems super confused in my DMs every time I mention being pregnant so in case you missed the pregnancy announcement yes I’m pregnant again lol,” she wrote. The 31-year-old, who is mum to Teddy, almost a year old, shared the happy news on Oct. 24 via a video shared with her skincare brand profile Covey, which also announced a new product. We’ll blame Instagram’s pesky algorithm… congratulations!
