Margaret Howell’s Spring / Summer 2022 collection of casual and business womens and menswear is presented by appointment on September 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at London Fashion Week.

Howell’s sense of design has always been inspired by his place of origin: his clothes have a distinctively European look, drawing flavors from London street style. Above all, his designs can be described as classic, modern and elegant. Sticking to neutrals and subtle colors, her clothes are timeless, and with the ability to dress up or dress up any outfit she’s created, they’re perfect for a daytime outfit at the office or a nightwear when you go out for drinks with friends.

Sticking to neutral and light colors in its Spring / Summer 2022 collection, Howell has designed a variety of sweaters, dresses, coats, blouses, pants, shorts and skirts. She also played with denim and stayed true to the brand with mostly solid colors and some patterned clothing, clearly emphasizing comfort and style. The collection is both gender-neutral and fluid, working across all genres, and overall very consistent. Models wore white or black socks with black shoes, and some were even accessorized with bandanas that enhanced the preppy look.

Many of his new designs include layered looks, like button-down shirts under sweaters or large overcoats, paired with pants. Some of the coats were tightly belted at the waist, while others flowed freely. She also designed boxer-style dresses with a loose fit, one green and another with multi-colored stripes, some with collars and others without sleeves. Diving into denim, she designed a pair of jeans with a matching coat for a stylish ensemble, as well as a knee-length denim skirt. Her new black knee-length shorts can be worn with a variety of outfits, but they look especially good with her cropped forest green coat, and they contrast with her pair of loose, calf-length pants.

A few looks were inspired by the school uniform, with several outfits from collared shirt and tie, to pants and a coat. Several outfits included coats or tops that matched the pants, so they could easily be worn as a set. Some of the best looks included the white shirt layered under the nude collared blouse paired with brown pants, the open waistcoat under the collared shirt with pants and of course you can’t go wrong with a classic baby blue button down shirt. and striped tie.

Howell’s collection remains stylish and in line with the branding of her previous collections, but the viewer might wonder if she has played a little safe with this collection. Her Fall Winter 2021 collection had more patterns, so it would be nice to see more stripes or checks in her next collection. Either way, this collection is endless and stylish, and we can’t wait to see what it does next.
