The 2022 FIFA World Cup is expected to be the 22nd edition of the fifa world cup competition, the men’s international quadrennial Soccer championship contested by seniors national teams member associations of Fifa. It is planned to take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022. Additionally, the tournament will be the last to involve 32 teams, with an increase to 48 teams planned for the tournament 2026 in the United States, Mexico and Canada. Due to Qatar’s intense summer heat, this World Cup will take place from late November to mid-December, making it the first tournament not to take place in May, June or July and to take place in the fall. North ; it will be played within a reduced period of approximately 29 days. The first match played at the tournament will be played between Qatar and Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium, Al-Khor. The final is due to take place on December 18, 2022, which is also Qatar National Day. The defending World Cup champions are France.
