Here are some arrobe must-haves to spice up your look
Have you ever looked inside your wardrobe and felt like you had nothing to wear? The problem may be that you have too many on-trend pieces, but not enough other clothes that can go with just about anything. If you’re like me, you might find that basics like blue jeans or a simple white T-shirt can get a little boring. However, there are many clothes that can be both stylish and versatile. At Clog, we’ve found four perfect pieces for your wardrobe!
Button down shirt
Contrary to popular belief, the button-down shirt shouldn’t just be taken out of the closet for business casual. These shirts can be worn anywhere, especially if you know how to style them – and there are so many ways to do it. For example, you can tie the button fastening at the front for a cropped effect or let it hang over your shoulders for a more modern look. Personally, one of my favorite ways to style a button down shirt during the summer is to leave it unbuttoned and wear a cropped top underneath.
It might be too hot to pull out the turtleneck in this summer heat, but in a few months this item will be your best friend. While I hated the turtleneck when I was younger, I quickly learned that this top is sophisticated in the most elegant way possible. Every time I wear my black turtleneck I feel so cool and mysterious. Plus, you can always wear a turtleneck under dresses, sweaters, and t-shirts if you want to make your outfit more daring or even stay warm. Perfect for layering or making a bold statement, this is one of the most versatile and basic tops you can invest in.
While sneakers sometimes fail to elevate your outfit, and high heels aren’t the most practical for everyday wear, platform boots have the power to give you a cool look without killing your feet. Not only can they give you the perfect height gain, it is impossible not to look trendy with them. My personal favorites are the Dr. Martens Molly platform leather ankle boots that come with ribbons as laces. However, there are other brands, such as Demonia and Koi shoes, it will make you feel like a bad guy as you are walking the streets in no time!
Who says blazers can’t be worn outside the office? I once saw street style icons like Bella hadid captured by paparazzi in this formal jacket, I discovered the many ways I could incorporate a blazer into my everyday wardrobe. Whether it’s cinched at the waist with a belt over tights, thrown over a t-shirt and shorts, or cropped with a matching skirt, the blazer is sure to give a look that’s both chic and warm.
Although these are only four pieces of clothing, you can make dozens of stylish outfits out of them. No matter if your style changes or if there is a new trend to follow, these pieces are timeless and can never go out of style. So, you don’t need to buy a bunch of clothes if you’re looking to upgrade your wardrobe – just try on these wardrobe essentials and get ready for your look!
