Hot Pink entered the chat again.
Vibrant color has taken over the celebrity street style scene, and Anne Hathaway is just the latest A-lister to embrace the trend.
While attending Valentino’s haute couture show in Rome, the We crashed the actress sat front row while wearing a shimmering mini dress straight from the Italian house’s Fall ’22 show. The piece, done in Valentino’s signature Valentino Pink PP shade, is covered in shimmering sequins and features a high neck, structured flair skirt and underbust ruffles.
Hathaway continued the color scheme with the rest of her ensemble, sporting a hot pink iteration of the brand’s famous Garavani platform pumps and carrying a matching mini shoulder bag.
Barbie-core but make it sewing.
This isn’t the first time Hathaway has taken over Valentino’s saturated pink pigment.
In photos shared exclusively with BAZAAR.com in May, she stepped out during the Cannes Film Festival in an off-the-shoulder pantsuit from the collection. She topped off the ensemble again with the coveted Garavani heels and diamond earrings.
Since creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli launched Valentino Pink PP – the explosive shade first developed by color specialists Pantone which included 40 different looks in the collection – other celebrities like Zendaya, Gigi Hadid, Lizzo and many others have been spotted in coveted rooms.
“Stripping the palette down to a single shade, relentlessly, [Piccioli] does more with less, maximizing the expressive possibilities in the apparent lack of possibilities,” said Valentino’s show notes. “The accumulation of pink elements is such that it eliminates visual shock to bring out, together, the uniqueness of the person, expressed by the face and the eyes, and the work on the clothes: the signs that draw them in silhouette, the textures that give them consistency, the decorations that contribute to the construction. Subtraction is, in fact, amplification, magnifying both humans and clothing.”
