Zawaya Expo set to showcase high-end fashion collection

HIGH-END fashion items will be on display today at the opening of Zawaya Expo 2022 at the Ritz-Carlton Bahrain.

Dubai’s fashion and lifestyle show, Posh Rack, will be showcased during the three-day exhibition to be held under the patronage of Shaikha Nayla bint Hamad Al Khalifa.

Hosted by Shefali Munshi, the artistically curated event is expected to include over 15 pop-up designers in addition to 10 designers showcasing their collections ranging from fashion, jewelry and lifestyle products in a trendy setting.

Designers participating in the Posh Rack include Designs by Juhi Khan, Flower Child by Shaheen, Lajwanti, Naila Noorani Jewellery, Taropa and the Boozy Button.

The homegrown UAE brand has held numerous shows around the world and is about to celebrate its fifth year and 21st fashion and lifestyle pop-up in Bahrain.

Shaheen Abbas’ bold Flower Child brand will feature handcrafted collections that include an unconventional twist with elements such as mismatched earrings and intricately crafted contemporary jewelry featuring innovative textures and silhouettes.

Designer Shaheen Abbas has spent two decades in the industry making women feel glamorous every day of their lives.

Meanwhile, Naila Noorani – another jewelry connoisseur – will showcase her collection of individual pieces inspired by her South Asian heritage in addition to pieces that invoke “aesthetically refined luxury and old-world charm to suit the tastes of women.” modern”.

High quality embroidery – incorporating gara silk thread work – will be on display in the collection called Taropa by Archana Bhushan.

Meanwhile, unique prints on dresses, tops and other items will be featured as part of the Boozy Button display.

A creative mix of styles, Designs by Juhi Khan, will also showcase fashion items inspired by Western influence and blended with Indian textiles and style.

Finally, Pakistan’s leading luxury fashion brand – Lajwanti – will also showcase Pakistani bridal and fusion wear combining heritage and modernity infused into their designs.

“The current generation of kids are sharp and driven and I admire that,” Ms. Munshi, Founder and Director of Selecte Global Experiences, said in a previously published interview.

“I just want to tell them that perseverance is a trait that I have valued the most in life.

“Everything becomes acceptable as long as you have that and it’s very handy if you want to follow your dreams and see them come true.”

The exhibition runs until Saturday in the Al Ghazal Ballroom from 10:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
