It has been a long time since we last saw an appearance by Timothée Chalamet on the red carpet. Fortunately, the break is officially over, thanks to the 2021 Cannes Film Festival.

For the Cannes premiere of his new film “The French Dispatch”, directed by Wes Anderson, Chalamet was stunned on the red carpet in one of his iconic sleek ensembles. On this occasion, he wore a bespoke silver jacquard tuxedo by Tom Ford. The fitted suit featured pointed lapels and pleated pants, which Chalamet paired with a white-collar shirt. On the accessories side, he layered several silver rings and bracelets, including one of Cartier’s Juste un Clou cuffs, and launched two new cartilage piercings with matching thin black earrings. A pair of stylish black acetate sunglasses from Celine completed the look. Chalamet shades are currently priced at $ 430 on Celine.com.

As for shoes, Chalamet donned an elegant pair of cream Chelsea boots, also from Ford. The pair featured a brown sole and block heel, with a sleek leather upper. A beveled toe complemented the pointy shoes, which complemented her white shirt and the lighter shades of the suit.

Chalamet is a fashion chameleon, often sporting looks that feature clean silhouettes and a monochrome style with bursts of prints, colors and textures. Plus, who could forget the quirky and trendy additions of pieces like a glittering harness, a Swarovski-embellished hoodie or an Eiffel Tower keychain? The “Call Me By Your Name” actor makes statements in bold looks from top brands like Stella McCartney, Alexander McQueen, Prada and Haider Ackermann – to name a few – as well as iconic brands like Sterling Ruby. Chalamet’s daring style has made him a staple on the fashion scene; fans are already speculating on what he’ll wear as the 2021 Met Gala co-chair later this fall.

When it comes to shoes, wearing a stylish boot on the red carpet is one of Chalamet’s signature styling gestures. Chelsea boots in shiny black leather and zip-up pairs with pointy toes are his must-haves, although he’s also known to don a combat or lace-up style every now and then. These come from brands as high-end as her wardrobe, such as Berluti, Saint Laurent, Celine and Ackermann. Outside of work hours (and on, as several event and red carpet photos prove), Chalamet regularly slips into versatile white and gray sneakers. New Balance is one of the star’s favorites – he’s even worn limited editions styled by the brand’s collaborations with Staud and Jaden Smith. Apart from those, it’s also been spotted in pairs by Louis Vuitton, Vans, and Off-White – along with affordable Tretorn shoes that sell for under $ 40.
